Hello Sweet Souls! I do hope this finds you happy and healthy and living with joy, peace and love in all the areas that matter! I have some big news to share. All the things. The things we don't like to think about let alone talk about in a caring and compassionate way. I was honored to be with my mom when she transitioned, over 7 years ago. After given 8 weeks to live, she gracefully accepted her time was close. I remember as I was washing the dishes one day, I looked over at her, and smiled, and she was simply looking at me from the wheelchair. I said, "whatcha thinking, mom?" And her reply still brings joyful tears to my eyes. She said, "I'm just going to miss you so much." I walked over to her, knelt down beside her with a face full of tears, I cannot remember what I said, and gently touched her face. She closed her eyes as she pushed her face into my hand with such strength and knowing. This is my why. This is why I have a strong calling to advocate for humans at the time of their transition. It started out as a CEU class - and now have added another amazing modality to my Holistic Health Care Toolbox. I am now an End-of-Life Doula. My role as doula comes into play before, during and after the dying process for the individual and their family. I advocate for the individual with comfort, compassionate care in respect to their wishes for end of life treatment and care the way they want it. I have been called to serve for some time and I am finally laying it all out on the table - for all to see. I am choosing to feel great and super duper enthusiastic! The experiences of my life have allowed me the opportunities that are now before me. I even have a speaking engagement with a group of wonderful women from the community in 2 weeks! I am so excited to connect with other compassionate women. My expansion and growth have been immense this year and as I settle in to my life, I feel more grounded, more peaceful and hold more unconditional love for myself as well as the global community. This new role will be a humbling opportunity for connection, understanding and grace into the unknown.
